Default V8 starter motor replacement

I am looking at getting a replacement starter motor for the LTD.
It is a 5 litre V8 auto.
I rang Ford and they want $1340 for an original replacement.
E-bay has a couple of different suppliers and range from $160 to $215.
Has anyone bought one from e-bay and were they happy with it?

Well before you jump straight from Ford to e-bay, have you tried a storefront business like bursons/coventrys/supercheap/autobarn/repco etc?

When i worked for Ford we had 2 AU's come in with near new stuffed ebay starters, But my neighbor fitted one to his AUIII and it has lasted just over 9 months so far.
