Default AUXR8 auto....Awful noises???!!!?

Hi All....

I have an AU3 XR8 auto.......This afternoon I took off out of the carpark slowly and it felt really sluggish....Like it was taking off in 3rd gear.....It made a "thud" noise and it has been noisy since...Sounded like a broken diff.....It's worse when you hold it in 2nd or 3rd as you slow down....

I jacked the rear up when I got home. When I spin the wheels there is a noise coming from the auto box....It's much worse when I turn the wheels in reverse.....

It sounds terminal. How much to change the box with a reco unit????

How much approximately to change over to a 5spd??

I'm in Liverpool(Sydney)...Any recomendations for a transmission shop??

Many Thanks.

Doug.

How deep are your pockets? All i'll say is it'll be enough to make sure you won't do it.

OHH you meant a manual.
Erm probably about the same price as an auto rebuild.
