Were is the key word.

What I've noticed is that when they aren't doing well they are Sydney, they win a grand final, they're also South Melbourne..

I too have noticed that. Scorned all through the season and then reclaimed by Melbourne's media when it wins.... and they accuse us of being fair-weather fans. HA!!!!

On a side note, I went to the Grand Final and had an absoulte hoot of a time, what a match!!! Great night out afterwards too. Damn I love my job!

Best part about the Grand Final, the MCG is now able to be used for the REAL reason that it exists - putting the C back in MCG. Cricket is Australia's only true national sport and the only one I can't live without. FACT - AFL was invented to give cricketers something to do in winter to keep them fit. Now there's no more stupid collingwood supporters spreading their commercialised collective voice around the place (couldn't be happier that they got caned this season) and all the useless obsessive fanaticism that drips through the AFL-soaked daily media. 5 months of freedom, of no more scrutinising every player's move for half the year, how many times they fart and how many times they're spotted at what club. It's over and I oculdn't be happier!!! :the_finge :the_finge :the_finge

Pretty scrappy game with no reall standouts. Not the desired result but Sydney definatly wanted that win more!

Definatly good for Sydney to get their 1st runs on the board ever (pre 1989 doesn't count. Never has, never will)

Lets hope we can keep that cup away from VIC for another few years

i'll second that.

any team can flood a backline.

And they still won so anything you say is irrelevant. If the competition was that good they'd have beaten such a "crap" team... they all had multiple chances ALL season.
