hey guys and gals, im going to take the "forte" badge of the rear of my s1 sedan.
is the badge glued on? and how do you get it off?. cheers, josh.

It is just connected by sticky - like double sided tape.
When I take badges off cars I just use a flat long blade and gently run it under the badge. If the badge is not being reused I just get the corner started then gently pull it off. The key word here is GENTLY>  Cheers GT

I wouldnt use a blade unless you are 100% confident with it. I use a heat gun (paid $18 from super cheap and use it for heaps of things, little trim jobs, removing badges, rolling guards etc) and get it so it can move ever so slightly then i get fishing line in behind and remove it. dont have the heat on there when you get the fishing line in behind because the heat will just make it melt and snap haha.
As has been said above though work slow and it will come off. then I just use tea tree oil to remove any left over sticky bits and a quick polish will remove any sign it was ever there Ive done this on almost every car ive owned (hate badges on the rear haha. looks heaps neater without it) and its worked a treat

Series 1 AU, take the forte badge off and you are left with 2 holes in the back of your boot lid.

the forte bit shouldn't have anything under it, only the "falcon" badge should

sweet. if it has holes i definitely wont be putting wings on it. only genuine tickford's should have the badge i reckon. if holes are left ill replace it with a s2 or3 forte badge. looks much better imo.

i got plenty of blunt paint scrapers in the workshop lol. i use em for removing old gaskets and seals so i guess it'd work on a badge. never thought of that.

there was no holes behind my forte badge when i pulled it off, only holes were behind the falcon one which is why its still there lol
