Default Option Plates

Just wondering if someone could clarify something for me.
I'm currently looking at buying an AU3 XR6. It's got the optional 17" XR8 rims and Ford Racing/Rebel Bodykit. Only thing is, it hasn't got an option plate.
I was under the impression that all cars that received some sort of 'Tickford treatment' also received an option plate?
Is this correct and perhaps this car didn't get those things from factory, or am I way off?

Cheers, Anthony

Being a series III I think all of those things were standard. Maybe someone can clarify.

Yep - pretty much standard issue
Only if you optioned the Momo Wheel/ Gearknob and upspecced brakes did it appear on a seperate tickford plate

On the XR6 the Ford Racing (Rebel) Bodykit is an optional extra, NOT standard.

All the XR8's I looked at all had the Tickford Option Plate fitted to them on the drivers side in the engine bay next to the radiator header tank bolts.
Mine has the Momo Wheel and Shifter listed.

This is correct. The Ford Racing kit was standard on XR8 only (possible XR6 VCT too), XR6 HP got no kit even on SIII so the kit should be listed on a Tickford Plate. That is unless it was fitted by the dealer. The wheels are standard issue with the SIII XR's.

Thanks everyone
It's a VCT so does that mean it should have an option plate listing the rebel kit?

Is it an XR6 VCT ST?

If so it had the Ford Racing (Rebel)body kit, Leather, momo gear, Azzuros, etc fitted asd standard. These end of model limited edition cars did not get a Tickford plate.

Cheers

James

Possibly - FPV only lists the rebel or AU2 style kit as standard on XR8:

"For the AU Series III upgrade in November 2001, XR8 buyers were given the choice of the Ford Racing exterior or the original AU Series II XR8 styling"

Thanks for the replies. Turns out that one isn't as good as it seems.
I'm going to look at an '02 XR6 tomorrow. It's got the Momo wheel and shifter (and has an option plate) so hopefully it's good
