Thank god Porsche still persist with a proper gearbox.
Has to be the best performance brand around, although the amount of specials they produce is crazy, but every one of them are desirable. Id prefer the "whale tail" for a spoiler, but Im sure that one is there for a good reason!

Yeah.... cause Ford, Toyota and Porsche know.... that 4.0L's of six, is better than less.

My pants just got tighter.
Always had a soft spot for Porshces. They have always been the "practical supercar", with a useable back seat (for kids, but what a way to turn up for school) and without the "fragile" reputuation of makers like Ferrari, which means that you could, if you so wished (and a lot of people do) use it every day. I would wager more Porsche 911's have been spotted by people on this forum in supermarket and shopping center car parks than have Ferraris and Lambo's. In the words of one guy I was parked beside in Rockhampton who had a late model yellow 911 Carrera who was unloading a pram from the rear seat where his little girl was strapped in as his wife got a trolley, "We paid damn good money for this car and we're not going to polish it and look at it and only drive it once a month". They were from somewhere down near Brisbane and were on holiday. I later spotted them heading west along the Capricorn Highway through our little town. |

What a car, I love seeing Porsche push the envelope with naturally aspirated 6's.

I'm surprised theyre still pushing for more displacement from the 6. All credit to them for still getting massive figures, but any other supercar maker would be using an 8 cylinder i'd imagine.

An eight is not going to fit unless they want to go to Lemans, plus 500HP from a NA 6 is outstanding.
I love the fact that most of the supercars, proper track focused supercars, are still naturally aspirated.

I've always loved Porsches. This one is fantastic. Makes a mockery of the recent limited edition Speedster by Porsche.
This GT3 RS 4.0 is just unreal. N/A 500hp 4.0L 6. Sounds the business and just looks so purposeful.
