Cheers for the further advices, On further looking I found a thing on adoption fees on their site and they do price the puppies more expensively dependent on breed.

The money goes to all the animals overall so it's a good thing really, just struck us as weird 'cause we thought they had attitude of every animal is as important as the next one and got us scratching our heads how they can value them differently. They say that desexing etc. costs twice what the adoption fee is too so I guess they recoup some money this way. Ethical grey area I guess but intentions are all good.

Anyway the search continues, will keep checking RSPCA but will check out all these other options too.
