Next Gen Mondeo Pics

Hi all,
spotted this in a german Car magazine online. The first few pics in the Gallery show the 2012 [in Europe], Mondeo.
Looks great,....so we should see it here in 2013. Just in time when the change over is due for mine

just an update on how the car is going:
done 78000 km since Sep last year
due for its 3rd set of tyres in about 5-7000ks[ the Dunlops I put on were good but are getting noisy]
need new rear Discs soon, rear pads replaced as I write this
Sunroof switch faulty or some bugger of a Gremlin in it

otherwise all good

It's evolution there. But they will continue to be a flash looking car.

The question you should be asking will Ford Australia bring it here?

Under the hood Ford will place the best engines presently found in the Mondeo: the 175bhp 2.2-litre diesel from the Titanium X Sport model and a turbocharged 217bhp 2.5-litre petrol five-cylinder. The engine will be paired to a six-speed manual transmission, but an option Ford will also offer the new Powershift double-clutch gearbox.

Right now we don't even get the 2.2L so that means we may never see the coupe Ford better pull their finger out Peugeot has the 2.2L in their 508 just released and in 2 months Jaguar XF will have the very same engine also. So Ford hasn't impressed me enough to update my MA

thats one good looking Mondeo, but knowing Ford Oz, it will never make it here. As apstar says we dont even get the 2.2l

It's an update. I think it's 2015 before they come out with a new shape.

Some of us here were invited to the special focus groups where we were shown the concepts for the next Mondeo. And some of the bits on that car were on the concepts, so it's moving along.

Seems strange they still have the I5T listed as I was under the impression ford canned the motor.

Yeah i think i remember reading on Xr5t.com that they've canned the engine due to not enough sales/ emission issues? Hopefully not! Its an impressive piece of kit.

Well it's gone hence the EB I4 in the new focus so maybe the hot mondeo will get this but I do agree it's a shame the I5T is gone

Atleast you can sit back and know that you've got one of the last 'series' of the 5T. Give it a few years, the depriciation will be minor and you should get good resale.

The A-pillar are on this chop (photoshop edited image) looks a bit awkward.

Chances are the next Mondeo will not look like that chop.
How accurate are the chops/renderings of Auto Express?
They said the 2011 Focus would look like this.


I wish they make it look more like the Iosis Concept.
