I couldnt find the thread. Found it for series 1 but not series 2, and they are different are'nt they?
Any help?

you have to remove the CD player first
4 screws (2 behind the ash tray and 2 behind the cdplayer then its just pull the fascia out and undo the plugs the cd player needs a special tool or some wire to remove the standard one, have a look on ebay if you want to see the what the tools look like

Are there any holes in the head unit facia on each side? If so, then that's where you need to insert the tool( or wire) to remove it. The idea is that the head unit will be held in with a spring steel tab on each side. Insert the wire or correct tool and gently pull each one out to the side. This will pull the tabs in and release the unit.
