Iphone4s here quiet like it from the older iPhone. Only thing that annoys me is that Siri can tell me any location I ask for in Perth. Only good for the us atm until a newer version of software is released. Still good but I find it a pain

i recently just got a nokia n9. when people realise its still not android (runs meego - a linux based system which is already dead in the water) they look at me like 'why would you buy a non android phone', but like you say, often the decisions are purely personal. at the end of the day it depends what you want out of it. i like the N9 because its different, and call me biased, but its easily the best looking phone on the market. |

I've had an iPhone4s for about 3 weeks now. First Apple device.
Quite like it but battery life is about 11/2 to 2 days max before putting it on charge. What does "jailbreak" mean? Haven't heard that before. |

Saw in the Telstra store a case of what the Velocity 4G looks like. Bit taller and wider than the DHD I have but thinner.
Too bad they don't have it running Ice Cream Sandwich... fail.

I had an iPhone 3GS for about 26 months. Had a few issues at the start and Apple replaced the phone, after that it was absolutely flawless. Decent battery life, insanely easy to use.
I would have kept it longer had I not been on Vodafone. Now I've got a Samgung Galaxy. I was like many on here and was sick of the way Apple products are so closed off. The Samsung is more like a little computer - a lot more capable. But, it can be a nightmare to use. There have been numerous times I've wished I stayed with Apple, but a few times I'm glad I didn't as well. Long story short - if your into your technology and will use an Android phones capabilities, get one. If your more a basic user, get an iPhone. |

Check the coverage for using 4G for data. Read only 5klm radius major cities and at 80 regional centres. I'm sure it will improve though.

Desire S here. I have had it for probably about 8 months now and love it.
I tend to hate apple products and how they force you to do it their way. (That's what it feels like to me anyway)

Whilst some good info from users of both on here, I tend to think most of us are pretty biased toward what phone we own or are "stuck with"?
The Galaxy Vs iphone is almost a Ford Vs Holden thing... iphone people rarely concede there's better, as do Samsung diehards! My advice is google "iphone 4 vs samsung galaxy s2" and read the reviews from the likes of Cnet, PC world or a dedicated smart-phone forum.

This...^^^ If you want a phone that just works, get an iPhone. If you want your phone to do what you want it to do and like customizing things, then go android. Android on an iPhone would seriously sway me to iPhone, but whilst it's under the control of apple.... No chance. |

Personally I think now is a good time to delay the purchase of a New mobile phone.
1) Apple's leader is no longer - what will happen ? 2) Previously the best Android phones have been (arguably) HTC and Samsung, but now Google owns both Android and Motorola, so it makes sense that ultimately Motorola will be the best Android Phone. 3) Nokia is in the process of moving from Symbian (the biggest selling phone OS of 2011) to windows phone. 4) Quad core How will this play out ? I do not know but With all of this I would expect great innovation in the next 12 months, so a phone 12 months from now will be infinitely than a phone now. |

Def the Velocity 4G
Faster processor, bigger screen, better camera, wont smash the second you drop it, , oh and its about 15 times faster with 4G data speeds. |

I've got an iPhone for work, and a Motorola Razr which is personal.
The iPhone is my forth, and Razr my first Android. I like the iPhone music ease of use better, but the Razr I reckon is a better phone overall. I tend to use the Razr more even though I pay for it.

SGS2 here. Rooted and running some nice custom firmware. Cant complain. Missus (Sezzy) got a 4S today, still tinkering but it looks pretty much the same as the 3G did all those years ago. SGS3 is due out in a few months, that's where I'll be heading.
Also, 4G Velocity. Had a look at it today, pretty nice, I moved away from HTC though (granted haven't had one since 6.5) If I had to get a new phone right now, It'd be tough, I think I'd look at SGS2, Velocity and 4S. But I'd quickly drop the 4S out of the equation (I tinker far to muc and Apple just annoys me).
