I've decided to change both headlights on the wagon after the passenger one literally caught fire and melted due to a faulty dip switch. The insurance was only willing to replace the one headlight and not do the indicator/wiper stalk assembly and then it was only going to be a $500 job. With this in mind I decided to save my $300 excess and the 10% NCB I'd lose and do the job myself. I've already organised a switch and a replacement section of loom that I'll have to splice in so now I'm just after some lights. Ford want $350 for one light and I've spotted a few lights on Ebay for a fraction of that new and I can get 2 for the cost of a factory one.
My question is - is there any brand/seller/light I should avoid because of bad or out of focus lenses or poor construction and is there any one in particular that somebody had bought that you're particularly happy with? I don't necessarily want the cheapest as generally you get what you pay for but likewise I don't want to be baying factory prices either. Any guidance in this area would be most appreciated. Cheers Bushbasher

Yeah, I thought of that but I'd rather have new.

priced any up from repco, bursons and the like? if you do ask if they can use the "SSS" supplier rather than "all crash", i have bought a set of rear tail lights via all crash very cheaply made and the looms did not lock and seal in all that good.
