Just a heads up to those who have not heard of the Run that begins in 9 days - we have only just found out ourselves this morning! A fabulous cause to raise money for a great Charity and has a number of far too modest AFF members, participating with their cars to honour fellow AFF member and well known GT man Gary Watson, who passed away not so long ago.
The AFF is making a Donation and having a presence on the back doors. Here is the thread: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...76#post4502676 Anyone interested in participating with a donation or wanting to Sponsor the car, please contact Sean aka bbcoupe (via PM) and he will help you with this. Get onboard if you can, as this touches many of our hearts far too often these days. Gaela and Russell

It's fantastic to have Australian Ford Forums supporting our entry to help the Leukaemia Foundations Patient Village fund.
I'm not sure what the Forums guys are organising for the signage yet but this shows the space being allocated. It's another great reason to be part of this community of like minded car enthusiasts! Thanks from bbcoupe and flapper.

This is such a great thing you guys are doing. The love and respect that is shown for a fellow AFF'er and Friend is just amazing.
Jack and I have made a small donation and I hope other forum members get behind you all and donate a little...or a lot. Every cent counts. Good stuff guys Cheers Col

Just so Members remember Gary - he came and participated at our June 2011 AFF Drag Nationals weekend despite being very I'll at the time. He took home a trophy and cash and really had a ball in his famous and much loved Gold Car.
Sadly and unexpectedly, he passed away on the 1st September 2011 which shocked and saddened many of us. A man that loved his Fords and particularly his famous XRGTs which he owned in numbers. Good friend to many and helped lots of people when they needed it,including me and he as left a lifelong impression for many of us.

Gary Watson's passing has left a great void in the GT community
So much knowledge was lost. I never met the man but have heard so much about him through various channels. RIP Gary. |

Great to hear. I knew Gary for many years through the Falcon GT Movement. He is sadly missed by Friends and Family
