Default Beeping the horn when leaving

What is it with people beeping the horn when they leave someones house.
For ****s sake they know your leaving you just walked out the door.
******* annoying ****s!

Why do you say and wave goodbye when people know you're leaving anyway? Silly post.

I sometimes beep the horn when leaving family/friends I know I won't see in a while. I won't be stopping anytime soon.
