Default changes in G6ET 2008 till 2012??

I am looking up what the differences in specs ford has changed with the g6et since 2008 till now. Obviouly this year has seen fg mkII but im mainly after any driveline updates, power upgrades or any medium to major changes to the cars year to year..like suspension revisions or satnav standard...things like this.
Basically all I can find is the bigger screen and front end treatments for fg mkII...and 19inch rims standard from 2010 onwards.

Anything you know of would be appreciated as its very hard to find it all through the millions of threads and internet pages...yes there are millions taa

The only little things I can think of (other than the mild cosmetic differences you pointed out) would be a revised A/C system (2008-2010 systems are rubbish) and a auto lockable fuel flap. Not sure if they strengthened the diff bushes in the MkII range but they are a big problem on the FGs

unreal isnt it
we bought the 08 G6E turbo and went to fill it up wit hfuel
could not believe it didnt have a button to release the fuel cap
i cant get my finger in the edge to open it so i use the corner of my wallet to open it when filling
its odd because theres a little button inside the fuel cap, but it seems to do nothing when you click it in
my aircon in the 08 is fine i reckon
40 degree day in SA and it handles it ok

and the 08 bottom grill is better than the latest ones
my god that massive bottom mouth is friggin ugly in my opinion.

You are meant to press the filler door to open it, and then again to close it. The little button is the spring loaded mechanism which pops it out when you press the door.

Obviously the euro 4 changes which also brought in the plastic intercooler end tanks, the diff cradles were changed in 2011 to a stronger design, Ford deleted adjustable pedals, revised diff bushes, power steering reservoir is different (perhaps they changed something, failed pumps weren't uncommon in earlier builds) that's all I can think of right now.

AFAIK the 19 inch rims didn't become standard until the mkII. Some 2010 limited editions (such at the 50th anniversary) did come standard with 19's.

I've got some FG brochures that I downloaded in 2010 and 2011 (these are almost the same) and also a mkII brochure that I can email you.

Looking at the different brochures, it looks like the FG and FG mkII turbo engines have the same outputs.

Lol to be honest I spent a good half an hour trying to find the release in the cabin. But I pushed the cap and it opened so thought it isn't too bad. Only annoying thing is the metal bracket inside has to line up with the fuel cap otherwise it doesn't lock closed and opens while driving

I had to sit at the servo and get my wife to read the manual, lol. Meanwhile, I was on my knees looking under the dash for a release button....

LOL
good to see im not the only dumbass! :P

filled up with fuel today
got out the car and pushed the fuel cap...nothing
flicked it open (managed to actually squeeze my finger in there!) and noticed that the little black button with the rubber over it is pushed in
so the filler door has nothing to spring against while its like that and i guess thats why its not working 'correctly'

Probably due to forcing it open on a regular basis. Try pushing the little button and see if it pops back.

Random facts.
Late 2010 onwards models got a shorter IPOD cable.
They also got the Vin number stamped on the drivers floorpan, with the carpet having a nasty cheap cutout because of it. Was this some stupid ADR rule or something?
