What's wrong with your wagon? 13 is what I get on stop start city drive in Perth whenever we visit in our AUII Futura wagon. Always at least as good as 8 on the highway!

If Falcon goes, so does Territory. Assuming that, um, Probably a Prado GXL TD. Different kettle of fish & I'll miss the handling of the Terry.

Another manual V8 Rear drive sedan or coupe but not a Holden! I think that only leaves a M3 or Mustang.

Mustangs are nice but how hard would parts be to get. As anything imported is over the top. I'm a parts manager in a car dealership and see how expensive parts can be.

Mustangs are probably the easiest car in the world to get parts for, and parts supplies don't run out as they get older either as they just get re-produced. There are business's solely dedicated to doing this. And not just the early models either, even late model stuff. And prices are cheap too. |

I was looking at cars over seas and you can get crap cars but everything works and is still straight just all scratched and old, but you can get trans am, charges, mustangs all the older muscle cars for like 3-5grand. Parts to fix are easy to find and pretty cheap. The only hassle would be waiting for them to get to Australia

What people are referring to is when the Mustang is expected to be imported by Ford if the Falcon was no more, not grey import ones.

Cant say I am attached to the Falcon.
I don't think I will be buying a Large Sedan any time soon, so I would look at Ford 4x4's before considering a different brand. Even if the Falcon is still around, I will be looking at 4x4. I have already decided my next vehicle will be 4x4 and not low to the ground. Sick of scraping my 300c on my own driveway. |

I'll be signing up for a new XR6T ute this year - its perfectly suited to my needs. I think I'll be looking at a short lease though, in the hope that the utes will still be around when its time to upgrade.
If they're not, I'd buy a Commodore SS ute. If they've gone as well, I'd just have to keep the old ute - there just isn't another car in the world like them. |

if falcon was gone i think id be happy driving most ford products, generaly they are well made, good to drive and very comfy.i seen a write up a week ago were most cars are engineered to do 250,000km and if they reach that mark they are deamed to have had a usefull productive life and after that they dont care but ford engineers the falcon to do 400,000km.
anyway if ford didnt have a product to give me a big rat im sure chrysler would. |

Just like it was with BA2 F6 clutches, BA FPV T3650s, BA FPV oil usage, AU drive shafts etc., etc., etc. Do I have to start on LSx? For me each car is bought based on my needs at the time and what is available. Most of the time a permutation of Falcon has suited as in Ghias, GT-P, F6 and my current XRT ute but I have also owned a 350Z and RX7 which were bought because I wanted a quick single person transport with, in the case of the Z long range on a tank of fuel (> 800km). I will continue to buy on that basis and if there are no Falcons but there is a Ford that suits then it would be considered, if not then I will buy something else. |

Definitely not a Holden!
This is my first Ford and it's been great. Personally I would just see what's available at the time and see what I like and suits my needs. I would check what Ford has to offer. Maybe they'll have an AWD turbo Mondeo or Focus then. I may even go back to a Subaru. But it will need to be roomy and not have 6 month servicing intervals.
