Ok...real dumb question, but I'll try anyway.
I've owned a fair few different makes and model cars in the past. Only on the Fords do I find it hard to adjust the seat to exactly how I like it. Are there any tips on how to set up seating positions? I have the BA MKII Falcon with the electric tilt up and downs. |

Keep mucking around,, I change my seating position regularly.. It depends on the day, the boots( if any) clothing, pain/discomfort etc etc etc..

never had an issue with my fords. i'm 6'2.
the way i do it is move the seat base first until your legs are comfortable on the pedals. i have the back of the seat base lowered as far as it will go and tilt the front upwards to support my thighs. then i pull the steering wheel out and up to suit. i sit fairly upright (its not a lounge!) and adjust the backrest so that with my arms outstretched, my wrists sit on top of the wheel. arms should be bent when holding the wheel in the 10 and 2 position. having straight arms is very poor positioning. (take note of race drivers positions). response time is very poor with straight arms. thats how i do it and i've had every falcon since XF (except AU, but have driven plenty) and i've managed to get comfy in all of them. |
