hey hey im the owner of a black 00 series 2 xr6 tray back lately its been giving me a bit of trouble. Heres how it is as the revs clime past 4 grand dash lights dim headlights dim and my voltmeter drops dramatically i suspect its the alternater but if anyone else can shed some light on the subject it would be much appreciated.

most certainly sounds like either a loose belt (serpentine, is that possible?) or your alternator is rooted

xr6 tonner, don't see many of them..
guess people didn't want to spend the $$ to convert them. i've seen a couple, some look good, some look cheap.

id check belt first then battery leads for tightness and see if battery terminals are clean ,then the alternator
