Default barn finds

Hi all just finished watching Gasolene on ch 64. WOW he was in some-ones shed and i reckon there was at least 60 cars in there. It was amazing xr, xt, xb, coupes, xa gt,s all sitting there. Not including the chargers e38,e49 not forgetting holdens it was amazing but it was painful also as they were partly exposed to the weather. Did anyone else see it. cheers

I've seen that a few times....Amazing collection going to waste. They should be in a cleaner, Dryer and much safer environment than what they are currently housed in.

Yeah I cringe also, shed leaking, no sealed flooring. Even though holdens, I love some of the HK/T/G monaros he has also, amongst alot of mopar stuff too.. Even my wifes astra gets a sealed, fully enclosed and alarmed shed!!

Jeff's a bloody nice down to earth bloke, been out to the museum a few times and bought a bit of gear from him in the past....he's even dropped a few bits and pieces of to me at home....

Considering the cars he has at his disposal i had to laugh one day when he came around in a KH Laser.....it was a TX3 tho....

They are not all Jeff's. I know the guy who owns the VK Group A in the "chook shed". He has it there on consignment so to speak as he doesn't have anywhere at home to store it. A few mates and I have told him to get it out of there due to the conditions but he is really stuck for storage and paid storage isn't an option unfortunately.

If noone knew what was in the old chook shed, noone would look at an old chook shed
If it was 24 hour monitored, huge security fences, mongrel dogs patrolling it, close to roads and good places to extract the stuff, people would be suss

Its a great way and a distant of the main streets and roads noone would venture

Top points for a good hide out ....

Imagine the storage to house such a collection

Unhappy Re: barn finds

imo if you are going to collect something desirable then store it correctly. i dont know jeff but visually a lot of the cars in this collection look down to say the least and or visually missing parts made of unobtainium. hes gone to the trouble of collecting a large number of cars which are of average condition then put them in a place where only god knows what sort of damage has occured to the structural integrity of them, let alone paint/mechanical deterioration. im told he is a nice enough guy....if last post is correct i hope the person buying one of his cars gets it checked over thoroughly and then stores it in a proper garage pleeease!!!

That was the first i have seen of the collection. And didn,t know he,s been buying & selling for years. It just seems a shame to see them like that. And i hope i haven,t offended the owner of this great collection. if i have i am deeply sorry.
