The Camaro is very, very similar to the mustang and looks great but the Challenger... where do I sign?

I work with lots of American petrol heads..... They absolutely love our FPV's and the generals moonaro... They all reckon that yank car designers have lost their way.... But I reckon two of these three might get their attention again. Does any one know what power plants will be installed???

Chevy is better than the ones with no grill

Dodge is a bewdy mate! I'd love to see it as a 4 door sedan. Might sell a lot of them.

The comaro will be using the 6 Litre LS2 V8 producing 400hp. More Pictures of the car and information are found in this link.

Comaro

The Challenger will be using a 6.1 Litre Hemi prodcuing 425hp. Also says 0-100 in 4.5 seconds and 1/4 mile in 13 seconds. Heres a link.

That's a very good point, Dave. Perhaps it could be seen as an act of desperation on their part. They want the success of the old glory days so they go and remake all these old classic cars. They could have done that at any time in the past, where they mainly only used the car's name more than any physical resemblance.

While I'm in favour of retro styling, it's interesting but still funny in a way.

I can't imagine that. I didn't like the recent 4-door Charger either.

These are interesting designs....but they just don't work.

I'm not a fan of the retro look. I will agree that sometimes it works, but the mustang and the challenger...just don't work that well.

There is little sign of evolution and I think thats the problem. They are taking the old model, and making it look more modern with softer lines and less chrome...and I don't buy into it.

The Camaro on the other hand displays at least some design ideas. They have given it a more modern spin - however I object to the horrible grill and ugly brake lights.

A good retro car should make people remember the original, but be a more modern look. That VW bug is a great example. Sure, I don't like them either - but they took the original and modernised it. You can tell what it is...without reusing the old lines and softening them.
