Just did this recently. Whomever you go with look at the fine print of the contract. Some offer Insurance cover some don't. Most want the car stripped of everything except jack and spare wheel so you can't load it up with spares. No personal items left in the vehicle. I ended up accepting an offer from another forum member, we got a 7 day permit to drive the car unregistered from the Gold Coast back to Darwin and had a great time / drive in doing so. This option may not suit your needs. Prices varied from around $1600 to $2100.

Hope this helps.

Cheers Vincenzo

I have always used CEVA logistics. I am going through this process now (NSW to WA) and the quoted price is $1450. Never had a problem with them.

PCT 302 , I used a fellow who delivers new caravans from the caravan manufacturing hub at Fawkner ( there are a large number of new vans made there ) to all over eastern Australia and he looks for backloading on his tilt tray . His base is in Strathfieldsaye but was quite happy to winch on /off door to door Brisbane to Melbourne . About 3 years ago his fee ( cash on delivery )for a non runner was $700. Contact Theo on 0418 504 279 or 54395600. If he is on the road his wife on the landline will tell you to call his mobile. Only problem was that he could only do it when he was empty coming back from Brisbane. You wait your turn .
