So the V8 will be about 40kg heavier?
That's pretty minimal considering. Still about 170kg lighter than an FPV GT. Too bad it didn't lose the weight like the earlier claims said, but they have done reasonably well to get the weight gain minimal considering the addition of IRS and all the new tech. If anything the extra weight of the IRS at the rear may help balance it out a bit better. |

1598 kg's for the Ecoboost looks good to me. About 240 kg's lighter than my former SC GT-P and a whopping 400+ kg's lighter than my SRT8. I going to need a bigger garage

Should still be fairly nippy at those weights, final drive ratios and gearing will be interesting.

Regardless of the weight gain, Ford have stated that the new (S550) GT is Quicker than the current 444Hp (331Kw) N/A BOSS 302 - which does 0-100K in 4.0 sec. Yes...4.0 seconds.
Even the current (outgoing) S197 base NA 5.0 GT does low-mid 4s 0-100klm (4.3 sec 0-60Mph) Quote:

Motor Trend is BS, they subtract roll-out from their 0-60 times.
