Cross-plane V8 sounds good at idle and driving around under 3,000 rpm. They don't sound anything special in the higher rpm range. In fact, my 5.4 sounds like it's going to explode and doesn't really do much at high rpm. Flat-plane V8 sounds ridiculously awesome at 5K-8K rpm. So if you want burble, go for the Mustang GT, but if you want a Ferrari killer on the track, get the Voodoo V8.

I don't appreciate your little roll eye quote not needed mate, I personally love the coyote engine the way it is, they rev to 8000rpm with ease already and make 110% v/e at peak torque in the wide rpm range they operate at.
and could u please explain the benefit of a flat plane crankshaft in the coyote platform? so it will be more rev happy ?

ps. im guessing you don't include the largest private race car market aftermarket and scene (USA) which mainly use there domestic v8 engine's , and im not talking about nascars either.
didn't realise you were so sensitive, my apologies, but any case should you require further information regarding the application of flat plane cranks, refer to one of the biggest resources available that is right in front of you. www.google.com is a good start.

The funny thing is that the sketch is by Camilo Pardo, who was the designer of the last one! (He no longer works for Ford.)

Or just youtube "2016 mustang SVT Nürburgring " and you'll find a clip of supposedly a mustang testing with a voodoo engine...
