Anyone hoping for a new Torana should get that! So will the next CTS-V get a 4.5L TTV8?

That in a manual and sedan form would be a nice little ride.
Props to the yanks for keeping the manual option too.

Sounds good on paper. Interior surprisingly looks good. This coupe might be the future of HSV here in Australia.

I prefer the M4, this looks tall and slab sided.
I will confess that I have never liked the styling of Cadillacs of late, make that ever. |

I didnt mind the styling of the original concept & i dont mind this ones styling either. Pricing will probably be its measure of popularity imo.
cheers, Maka

It is hard for my brain to comprehend Cadillac as a performance car.

It looks great. The engine sounds impressive, too! If Ford and Holden weren't shutting shop, I'm almost certain that this engine would have found it's way under the hood of a Commodore at some stage. Perhaps the return of the XU6 as HSV's answer to the F6? I guess we'll never know, and that's a real shame!

I'll pay that as an acronym of validity, but for me, perhaps the fact that it's boring more than anything else may have ensured that the XU6 moniker never returned. But whatever the name, an HSV with a 335kw TT V6 would have been serious competition for the F6. If only we had just another 10 years of Aussie production cars... There was so much potential left. Sigh, it's all a moot point now. I guess the best we've got to hope for is the Mustang, this Caddy etc.

RWD, manual, howling six. Nice.
Would it price near a Jag XE-S with the 3.0 supercharged?

Just been reading, knew nothing about this car. E46 size and weight benchmarked, whole new Alpha platform, 50/50 balance, for RWD-AWD, hmmm.
If Holden were to bring a version of this post-Commodore, RWD/AWD, sedan, coupe, and wagon, and keep the "Commodore" badge they might also keep the buyer loyalty.

Lol, as if the ATS range would be priced like the current commodore line up. Its costs 3 and 4 series BMW money in the US.

Correct. If you're into the engineering, the price that we will have to pay for similar RWD/manual/boosted 6/V8 post Commodore and Falcon will really be quite a bit higher. Like $2 jugs of beer at Uni subsidised by the student guild, we won't see such value for that layout again.
