mine has to go into Powerhouse Ford in Mackay.
it's ok, it's only a 400km round trip for us, lets see $1.629/litre @ 12Litres/100km plus the overnight stay @ $150/ night (they want the car all day) then there's the thought of grubby hand prints all over my pristine hoodlining.
i will be taking high res pics before the drop off.

Hi. The reason for the recall was glass coming off the tracks due to the glue lifting because of rust, try to find out if it can be replaced as part of the recall. Cheers MD

Wow. I know this is an old thread, but i bought a ba ltd almost 2 months ago and it's got the factory sunroof. I was only made aware of this recall by someone selling a full roof cut with sunroof in it in the sales section and it mentioned the glass was replaced under recall. This got me worried and searched a little more on the forums and found the info on the recall. There is no paperwork or info with my car about it being done, i checked the serial no. and it is one of the effected. So a new sunroof glass is a coming my way. Thanks ford forums. Without your useful info my sunroof could have come flying off. :-(

Hi guys new to the forum as of last night, jumped on Google and done
Some research after my sunroof decided to go for a fly off my BA XR6T @ 100-110kmh That I have only owned for a week, :(, driving it back down the Hume from Sydney to bright VIC I thought there was a little more wind noise than there should of been, I had no idea about the recall, and honestly it probably never went back for it, it looks as though the glue has just completely faild,
It scratched and chipped the rear of my roof boot lid and spoiler, :(
Any advice on what to do would be really appreciated,
I've only just got my full licence and was soo happy to get my falcon now I'm shattered this has happend to me, :( also I bought the car privately,
,cheers

First contact should be Webasto and see what they say. Any idea weather it was a factory fitted job or aftermarket?

Welcome aboard Digger. Have a look here and introduce yourself:http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthr...32145&page=144 . Photos of your car welcome too.

Good luck sorting your sunroof problem, hopefully the posts above suggesting a combination of recall and insurance will fix your roof for you.

Cheers.

Hi Digger,

we are able to assist with your Sunroof recall and at least that fixes the hole in your roof! As far as any damage caused by the glass coming out, you will need to take some photos and then contact Webasto in Sydney on 02 8536 4800 to discuss the claim.

Anyway if we can help with the recall, give us a call on 03 9808 8966 (Burwood, Vic),

Cheers,

Prestige Sunroofs
