Want to put up a post regarding a car yard I rang today. GOLDSTAR Autos in Strathpine on the north side of Brisbane advertised a Series 3 Manual XR8 with 187,000klms for $4990 with 6 months rego. There was only a couple of pics and none of the interior so I tried to call them on Sunday as the ad stated they were open 7 days a week....but no answer on Sunday. So, rang them today on the mobile number in the ad and got a bloke named Brett (who I later found out was the owner) and asked him about car. He stated the was to be sold as is, so I told him the ad stated the car was advertised with 6 months rego. He states there won't be any RWC, so I said he should know you can't sell a car with Rego without a RWC. He then claims he had a young girl who placed the ad and made a mistake. I said ok, not a big deal at this point so continued to ask about the condition of the car and what the interior was like and if the car had books and service history. At this point he gets defensive and evasive and says I am looking at the wrong car. I asked what he meant. He says I am asking $50,000 questions on a $5000 car. I said these are normal questions and why I want the car is for my own reasons. With that he starts screaming down the phone at me with expletives and hangs up. Somewhat incredulous I rang their office number and got "Abdul" and asked who the Manager/Owner is? Abdul then quizzes why I want to know and eventually admits he is the manager, so I explain the circumstances and how disgusted I was to be treated the way I was for no apparent reason. Anyway, I couldn't get any sense out of Abdul and finished the call. A minute later I get another call from Brett having another go complete with a mouthful of abuse. At this point I am gob smacked that a so-called business thinks they have the right to treat potential customers like this. I'm not normally the type to back down but the way this guy went off for no reason was just mind numbing. Call ended again with Brett shouting, screaming and hanging up. Low and behold he then sends me several threatening text messages....all over one phone call I made enquiring about a car. Absolutely amazing people like this can not only run a business and are allowed to deal with the public, but they actually exist and draw breath. Link to the ad here, but I noted the ad has been changed since this arvo now stating it is to be sold as is.

Looks like a lemon any way, as soon as you see added stickers you know the previous owner wasn't all there imo.

I did a Google search on the business and the majority of reviews state they were unhappy with the service or the way the owner treated them. Seems like the guy has some very serious issues.

In a way I'm thankful to know that I am not the only one who stumbles across mentally unstable turds who are cunningly disguised as "regular people".

I honestly don't know why, but I am a weirdo magnet so it seems...& they always want to talk, but I immediately realize that no good can come from a conversation with these people but by then it's too late.
If you ignore them, you're in trouble, if you open your mouth you can be certain you'll offend.

Yes, some very, VERY unstable people out there.

I'm going to message the dealer & ask if the wheel nuts are factory!

Mate your not the first to cop that from those tossers, a now deceased mate of mine went in there one day to look at a 4x4 to replace his then current one,took it for a drive,couldn't get the front hubs to lock,couldn't put it into any low gears,was told that's normal,mate was a seasoned 4x4 guy so knew his ***** with them,laughed at the bloke,turned around went back and the idiots had his truck up on a hoist going over it to put it on their lot!!. WTF! do you think your doing! Get my truck off your fcken hoist he said to them," we thought you"d brought that one" was their reply.he then copped abuse from the same ****** who chucked a tanty at you
they are well known around the area almost as bad and dodgy as the certain idiots that were up the road that sold cans of bog with 4 wheels and a steering wheel, the locals here will know who I mean.

Why not ring him back, record the call, post on Youtube and link it back to him? Maybe then they might learn a thing or two about 'client relations and feedback'?

yes its surprising what a search shows up on some yards,
a while ago i was cruising past a yard and saw an f series that caught my eye, later when i got home i looked up the name of yard , and as i was scanning the the search results ........... one of which caught my eye mentioning a court case and results showing the very yard i was looking at had been nabbed for turning back speedo`s, needless to say i didnt go back to look further at the f series.
