Default Guess what it is

Saw this at the carwash ... and was surprised when I looked at the badge.
Most will pick what it is though.
Had a bit of a look inside ... and damn it's nice.

http://grandeur.com.au/

They have 194kw 3.8l engines now as well!

You have to say Hyundai really have lifted themselves into a very credable brand. decent mechanicals, decent looks, decent build, good pricing. Shows how silly Proton and Kia were.

Things like curtain airbags, rear side bags, 194Kw 6 cylinder, Xenon lights, power both front seats, etc even out point a Fairmont Ghia or even a LTD.

I thought it was a new Lexus as first ... then saw the "H" badge on the boot.
Then had to look again.

It's good having all the dark coloured Mercs/Volvo/Lexus around ... my pristine white Ford ute outshines Euros/euro-look-alikes that were there.

Nice, gotta give credit where it is due, Hyundai have worked very hard to rebuild there image and manufacture cars that are of a superior quality and its good to see its begining to pay off.

Hyundai has really pulled the proverbial finger out of the @$$ recently and are making some really, really nice cars.

Yeap, I concur. Even if the Sonata is a bit of a rip-off of the Honda Accord, they have done really well and finally don't look so tacky. Hyundai has lifted their game in the past couple of years - I noticed it at a previous Motorshow with the interior fit of the updated Tiburon.

There was a newish Merc there ... and side by side ... the interiors were as good as each other.

The Merc model I am talk about is parked directly behind my ute ... I am pretty sure it was an E-class of some sort.

There's a Hyundai dealer across the road from my work, and I must say, whilst there are a few cars in there line up that are a bit 'eww', theres certainly a few decent rides!

Example:

Tiburon
Sonata
Grandeur
Tucson - very nice SUV.

Anyone else think the new Grandeur looks alot like the Aurion at the front?

First time I saw the new Sonata, straight away I thought it looked nice.
The Grandeur looks awesome too, wicked interior.
