You reckon HSV/Walkinshaw won't be able to get in on some of the $1.5 BILLION in support packages Scomo just announced for the manufacturing industry?

The outgoing model is discontinued, I suspect the new model will make an appearance.

The same government that killed Aussie car manufacturing. It's a laugh a day with these ****s.

Now flashing cash for local manufacturing. You can't make this **** up

That apparently happened in the early 1970s as well, remember reading a Wheels review of XY GS 302 where they stated they could sell the test car 2nd hand for more than they paid for it.

The Mako is largely based on the Hilux Rugged-X on sale in Australia, but the Kiwi version goes a few steps further with an increased suspension lift, unique black Rhino 18-inch allows and Maxxis RAZR All-Terrain tyres (265/60). The suspension changes see an ARB Old Man Emu setup used for 40mm lift front and 50mm lift rear, this includes Old Man Emu BP-51 by-pass shocks with adjustable compression and rebound control. The leaf springs have also been upgraded. There is currently no clearance and departure angle information available." https://practicalmotoring.com.au/4x4...-raptor-rival/
Hmm we can't have the Kiwis beat us, we should make an even higher suspension, black gloss 19 alloys and racing leaf springs. The name will have to be a level better too, so this can be the 'Hilux Rugged SE X'.
