Few of them would be owned by the NSW police

How does the transmission control unit effect the exhaust note?

I don’t know how many aspects to the test there are, but i know one test involves getting the vehicle up to a set speed and then putting it into neutral and coasting between 2 set points. This test highlights tyre noise.

I assume there must be another part of the tests that require a drive by at a set rpm and gear ratio? Not sure how a gearbox tune could affect this if the test requires a set ratio.

I don't think I'd be racing to get this recall done.

Probably makes it change gear 250 RPM earlier before it hits the point where its too loud for the ADRs

Makes planes taking off at the airport sound like sewing machines in comparison to Harley Davidsons and their owners with their bike cruising by at 2000000000000000000000000000000dB

I deal in a bit of motorbike stuff at work here and there and I swear all the 50 year old bike enthusiasts have industrial deafness and its from riding loud motorbikes for 30 years.

From the headline of the story ..""Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon rival may fall foul of Australian law due to excessive noise levels"" Here I am thinking the Holden Commodore and Ford Falcon were no more. How the heck can the thing be a rival of something that no longer exists? That's like saying the Janome F206 is a rival to my grandmother's pedal powered Singer.

If anything they should be turning them up louder.

Typical Bulltish Headline, the so called Journalists, Editors and Sub Editors write any garbage in a lame attempt to sound plausible and relevant.

Wonder if this one is under recall. Seems a lot louder than the Commodore V8
