Heyyas......
May seem like a strange question but about 5 years ago i made a massive mistake in selling my first car. It was a 1977 MK2 Escort, 2 door rally pack. She was red with the usual black rally pack stripes and spoilers. It had 13x7 bathurst globes, a serious 2L, sierra 5 speed gearbox, LSD rear end, vented disk brake front end, roll cage, recaro seat and so on. Last I heard, the person that bought it off me stripped most of the good gear out of it and returned the mechanicals to stock and sold it off again. I am not trying to buy it back or anything, it just would be nice to know where the old girl ended up and if it is still going! The rego was NKY-973. If you know of it let me know! |

If the guy you sold it to pillaged the good bits and sold it on, the rego would have been cashed in as well. If you have any old rego stickers with engine/vin numbers on, give the RS Owners Club Victoria a call. Being a Rally Pack, if its still on the road someone in the club may know off it or where it may have ended up. 2 door Escorts are like gold now and even rusty wrecks are still being restored, raced and rallied.

I had seen the car about a year after I sold it in unique cars magazine and driving around, and it was still regoed with the original plates.
I still remember the vin number off the top of my head but not sure if posting here was a good idea! |

It is hard to forget the vin number after staring at it for so long during the many hours spent under the bonnet!
