Went to the track night last night at Barbagello...

Posted a 1.09 in the rain. Pretty happy with that. Ran the 'street' tune, down to about 280rwkw.. imporived pads, stock suspension.

Was a good night, with a SuperPursuit83 going 1.07 on R-Spec rubber and his Brembos with 280 rwkw.

Superpursuit83 was going pretty hard and it was p!ssing own with rain.. slippriest part of the track, off camber quick right to left..... bingo.

I more or less had the splitter ploughing the ground out as I went straight off the edge of the track ont grass/sand.

Hey guys, you can laugh all ya want, tears aint going to fix it, its done now and it was fun.
I can tell you though, when your not in control of your vehicle, it seems to be travelling a lot faster than you realise.
The only bad bit is copping the crap from the Holden boys.

When you run on tyres with a higher grip threshhold, the point and speed where it looses traction is so much more than say on my tyres.

Hence the effects of an 'off' are multiplied..

Finally downloaded the vid, not bad. Was a good night eh Ben. I ended up best time of 67sec and did a 70 after you left, it was raining more and I was getting nervous for some reason.

Was a good night for sure. My nerves went the more I found grip on the track, and my confidence grew in those tyres.... I thought I might have been able to get a 68.** with a few more laps, but with people leaving, my brakes didn't have enough time to cool down between laps, hence my 'off' with boiled fluid.
It hurt my times having to be out of a corner and straight before getting on the (limmited) throttle tho. In my quick lap vid, you can hear the short bursts of throttle app, especially thru the esses.

In the dry, I was getting 120kph thru those esses with 40rwkw less. Last night I was getting 100kph with white knuckles!

Highlight of the night for me.-> Pulling away from the Grey R33 GTR down the hill and onto the straight, sideways in the rain.............................................. ................

You going to the Hill Climb event??
I'm planning to.. Might get her lowered before I venture out again.
