Quote:
Ford's taking the new S650 Mustang racing around the world in multiple series, including NASCAR, IMSA SportsCar Championship, and Australia's Supercars series, along with the GT4 and GT3 classes of various series.

On Tuesday, Ford CEO Jim Farley tweeted a video of the Mustang GT3 race car undergoing testing at Sebring. Hours later the executive retweeted his initial tweet and asked if Ford should make a road version....

Define affordable?
A GT3 spec Mustang won't be cheap and it won't need to be, it'll sell.

That would be pretty epic but we have/had the GT350?

I would love to see it, so one day when I buy a second hand Mustang I can pop bits on.

The GT3 is a whole 'nother level to a GT350. That was a warmer road car, the GT3 would be a detuned race car for the road.

Yeap true, but if some mechanicals filter down or are compatible that would be ace.

Can't price it to suit everyone, still has to provide a healthy margin.
