hit by a 81 yr old so the police reckon
that driver is now in hospital himself

lose,lose for both involved
if this was a 20yr old we'd be hearing about it every 5mins
hoons in performance cars etc etc etc
81yr old and only get mentioned he was questioned by police

feel for the girl she's already gone through enough and now this
pray'n for this girl she's a battler

Really tears you heart out to see this happen.

I wonder if there is anything as a forum we can do to help out once she is on the mend?

I think a donation thing would be a great idea and I am sure just every person on this forum would be happy to help them..
But I dont think we should wait till the poor little one is on the mend. Her family will be needing all the support and help they can get..

This is just the most bizarre horrifying thing to happen to these people.. It is shocking..

Just my thoughts anyway

Terrible terrible thing to happen. Really makes you realise just how precious life; and children in particular are.

Maybe we can organise a charity ford day or cruise event for her and her family to show support. Get local businesses to sponsor or something. Money raised could be donated to her family and to cover costs for any other special needs she will undoubtedly have.

I also feel sorry for the 80 year old driver. Horrible thing at that stage in life to be involved in especially when we all realise there was no malice, just a split second decision.

So Sad for Sophie. Can not believe this could happen again.

I wonder when licences will be made harder to get and keep soon I hope. And i am closer to 80 than 18 but you have to recognise your limitations as you get older and there is a time to give up driving.

Im not usually one to get moved by anything but this certainly moved me. I saw on the news Danny Green went to the hospital as soon as he heard with a bear or something of the sort, and people were lighting candles outside the hospital, all from people who dont know her personally, that kind of thing warms your heart.
