My dad is 68 and he can hear it. I'm 28.

yeh i'm 21 with about 30-40% loss already and i got no problems picking that up.

Your hearing must be pretty bad if you can't hear that. It's not even that high pitched.

Wew ok? Im 15 and i hear nothing when i play it. Turned the visulisations on and the bars move and stuff.
EDIT: Showed my 11 year old brother and he can hear it, said it hurts his ears. Lol |

I don't see how age has anything to do with it.. every single person born has slightly different ability to hear various frequencies..
As said above, it's just a marketing ploy to make youngens spend the $4.95 or whatever it is jamster will charge for it :P I can see the MTV ads already .. :( |

32 and with a little extra volume than normal I could hear it - it would mess me around a bit if I listened to it for like 5 mins. But on just adequate volume, I doubt a teacher across the room could hear it easily.
I actually tried this on my PC at work - it doesn't have speakers, but the VOIP phone is used as my speaker and I could not hear it on that. Might have something to do with the quality of the speaker in it.

My little nephew(5 yearold) could hear it when I turned the volume down to the point where I could no longer hear it. Not sure if it was the one mentioned in the link above as I got it from another site. 17kHz signal.
