Default 666 - The Omen - The Day of Damien's

Is anyone gonna see the Remake of The Omen? It was released today hence 06/06/06.

I was told at a young age from my parents not to watch the original. And didnt know why. Until i found out the main character is the antichrist named Damien. Kinda freeked me out. They also said that they named me DAMIAN not DAMIEN as it reminded them of the movie too much.

I still havent seen the original but looking forward to this one. SO is anyone else on this forum named damien or damian and are they somewhat little devils??

If I was a Dad and My Partner was to give birth today, I'd be pushing the kid back in and Holding it there Until 12.00 AM on the 7/6/06 :

I reckon it would get annoying having the son of the devil and everytime you look into his eyes, Opera music plays.... That'd annoy me.

I went to school with a bloke born on the 6th of the 6th 1966. He was the only bloke in his year level born on that day, and yes his name was Damien. To top it off he had 3 moles/freckles near the crown of his head, No Bull. I hear he's a drummer in a band somewhere...so it all makes sense really.

I want to see the movie. The original (and sequels) are ok.

I hear the new director is keen on doing things bigger and badder so you can expect some more shock value out of the new version.

OMG.

DO NOT SEE THIS MOVIE.

Its is the worst movie I have EVER seen. And to top things off I was having flash back during it, you nkow when you think you have seen it already; and I had, on midday TV.

Thats just how bad it is. I want $11.50 and those ~2hours of my life back.

I cannot believe people get paid to re-make such tripe.

It was pretty much a let down, nowhere near as good as the original. One of those remakes where it kinda goes scene for scene, word for word and then they change something small and it goes back to being scene for scene. And on top of that what was the go with dumping the most famous line from the original, "give me the knife damien" it was nowhere to be seen or heard.

Polyal, calling it the worst movie ever might be a bit extreme, haven't you ever seen THE FOG.

theres this dude that turned 21 on the 6/6/06, and funny thing is, that 6/6/06 date has only happened 21 times, so thats somethin to think about.
I havent seen the original, so probably thats why i thought the movie was alright. That dog scene where it jumps out from nowhere was the first time i jumped in my seat so hard lol, but other than that, just a decent film IMO

I saw it last night.

Not as good as I thought it would be, but still ok.

The original Exorcist still gets my vote, as the scariest movie ever made.

i saw it last night also.

i liked it. however the ending seemed like it was wrong, like the kid was supposed to die and they had to change the script becuase you can't kill a child on TV.

how does the original end?
is it worth seeing if I liked the remake?

yeah your right the ending is a little disappointing though i think it was just to leave their options open for a sequel..

^^tis a good point, no I dont like them. I only saw it because one of my mates got F&F dates mixed up.

I just dont see the point with them, the scary bits weren't even scary, quite a few people actually laughed.

The only thing that was scary was when some loud bloody sounds came on, Im a sucker for that.

I guess everyone is different, ive had a deep fascination with everything "evil" since i was young.

I laugh in parts of horror movies, mainly laugh at the idiots that walk out half way because they cant handle it ! lol

I really cant stand hollywood action movies...

Thats cool, what ever floats your boat I guess. But from my POV, someone who see any kind of movie, it was pretty lame; horror flick or not.

In book form *I think* there are more than 3 parts.

The exorcist movie is pretty cool. Where horror is concerned I loved "Cabin Fever" and am hanging to see Slither....oh and Hellraiser 6 is out on dvd on June 21 at Blockbuster....can't wait.
