I'm due for my 100k service and am going to do it myself. How do I get rid of the spanner on the trip?

Just checked the manual. Turn the ignition to the on posi, but don't crank it, then depress the trip meter button for about 10 seconds, it should disappear.

It depends on the build date. AU falcon from Sept 98 to Jun 99 require you to hold in the odometer button for 11 to 12 sec's then release it, a beep should be heard after it is released. For AU1 built from Jun 99 to the end of AU1 in Mar 2000 hold in the odometer button & after 10 sec's a beep should be heard.
