Default Falcon/Commodore of the future *amazing top gear vid*

Top Gear S Class

Title is a little deceiving but as Jeremy says "Your ordinary family sedan will have these features within 10 years as standard".

Watch and be amazed.

Always a big fan of merc's from the technology to the build quality they excell in many ways. The funny thing is that mercedes could have screwed every other manafacturer by putting a patenet on such safety features as airbags and ABS brakes. Instead they gave the technology to other manafacturers as a good will token to humanity.

I will give you that Mercedes are an innovator of new technologies, but you will find that 9 times out of ten, that Bosch and other companies are the ones creating the new automotive technologies.

Their build quality ain't so flash when you whack an S-Class next to a Lexus barge.

And they haven't given a single piece of technology royalty free to other manufacturers; they are making a killing in royalties. It is due to the economies of scale which has allowed theese technologies to filter down to the mainstream vehicles we use.

Beat me to it. That segment was one of the funniest I've ever seen on Top Gear. I was literally in tears watching it, especially when James and Richard took the beast onto the track for speed testing.

the gadgets are great but they might be the undoing of us , slowly taking the skill out of driving a motor car, great video.

Wow simply awesome, is all I can say.

The screen on the dash, that allows you to see further down the road, impressed me.

I was waiting for someone to cut into the gap the Merc left in front of it, when cruising, or especially when braking.

Bet that would've happened here in Melb. if they filmed it here!

Wonder how the Merc reacts when that happens?
