in rego i get
rego and CTP can someone explain why do i pay for CTP (thats insurance isnt it?) when i have full comp insurance? no one can tell me exactly why i have to pay it...department of transport in 3 places and over the phone, post office when i paid for it, other people i have asked and if it is the exact same thing as CTP non rego one then we are just paying the same thing twice... does anyone know?

CTP covers you if you run some one over and they sue you. Thats an over simplification but thats what it covers you for.

CTP. Covers personal injury caused by your motor vehicle. It does not cover any property damage at all.

They should turf it from the rego fees and allow you to shop around for the best price instead of the "stiff shiit you pay what we say you pay" system

In Victoria CTP is included in rego, but there are no benifits.
After you are involved in an accident you can only claim between $350 and $500 for medical. So it is effectively a waste!
