Default Best Sounding 16 Cylinder

My vote goes to the Formula 1 BRM 1.5 litre V-16 Supercharged engine.

As Bill Sherwood says, and I have to agree "This car has the most glorious sounding engine from any car of any era I've EVER heard!"

I have the Audio cd that came with the book "Into the Red" that those Audio clips are taken from... that track does a dandy job of blowing up peoples amps when played at high volume

I have to agree with that quote.

That was awesome.

Better sounding then alot of V8s. IMO

1.5L? Holy crap.

The torque wouldn't be much then.

Woz at a tractor pull comp at the show here is Perth once, they had a v16 Rolls Royce engine somewhere in excess of 12 litres.. The vibrations were similar to a big compactor, and were were some meters back!!

That was awesome.

Maybe, 1650ci does sound familiar.. but I thought there were only a few of those motors on vehicles anywhere in the world.

Anyway, was an impressive beast!!

That's simply amazing for a 1.5L! Those pistons must be freaking tiny...
