Default 6 months rego-Vic

just got my rego renewal and included was a letter stating that any concession card holders, pensioners, or Veterans now have the option to rego their vehicle in Vic for 6 or 12 months.
i guess its a good idea if you cant afford to pay a whole years rego in one shot.

Queenslanders have always had the 6/12 month option - Dunno how I'd ever register my car without it!

Ive never been on a pension or concession and as post says SA has to four options (it sounds like VIC offers 6 or 12 months rego for concession holders only) Years & year ago SA only had 6 or 12 but the four options have been around for many years now.

I like to pay for 12 months and then forget about it for another year. I already have too many bills to pay.

It would be much fairer if the insurance part of the registration was paid as part of the drivers licence rather than the car registration. Having two cars (one hobby car), I have to pay two registrations, even though I can only drive one car at a time.

A damn shame you have to be old or incapacitated to benefit from 6 monthly. We Vics must be the only ones left without that option across the board.

Ok for a V8 in SA.
3 months - $192
6 months - $373
9 months - $549
12 months - $721

I'm fairly sure when my parents' ones come in it's only $172 for a 6, 3 months.
