By the look of the Cobra airbox it "may" be a 4.6ltr mustang engine

Definately a 4.6 Cobra engine. All alloy. The Boss's little brother.

they look simular because the boss has exactly the same heads, but the boss has a long stroke, truck engine bottom end, where as the 4.6 bottom end is more square and free reving.

Looks very sweet. There is a place in Queensland building a boss powered AC cobra replica. Someone on this forum is having it built, can't remember who...

Look at the inlet manifold, the engine is a 4.6l ALL alloy Mustang unit.
A Boss engine is made up of a combination of said engines heads, rockers & in 290 format cams, bottom end is same as F Series 5.4l SOHC engine with unique pistone etc.
