Default Windows Start Menu Problem

Somehow my computer has decided to move the start menu and taskbar to the RHS of the desktop in a separate panel. Makes the desktop look crap! Can anyone tell me how to get it back to the bottom? out:

To ensure that doesn't happen again, you can right click on the taskbar and click "Lock the Taskbar". Then you can't accidentally drag it to the wrong side of the screen
