I have just had to make a windscreen claim through Shannons. I have had a number of cars insured with them over the years and never made a claim, so didnt know what to expect. It couldnt have been easier. I rang Shannons, they put me straight through to O'Briens windscreens, they checked their stock, held the one Escort windscreen aside for me, arranged a time to come out to fit it and turned up one hour early. It is nice to deal with companies that actually look after their customers.

I have my 3 cars insured with Shannons including my Ghia which had a bit of a mishap recently when someone decided to join the roundabout just as I was passing through.
Shannons were superb. Went to my preferred repairer, got a quote, faxed it through to Shannons, the assessor rang the same day and arranged to look at it a couple of days later when I dropped it off again at the repairers. The assessor gave the OK and they went to work straight away. All new items fitted. Didnt have to sign or pay anything, even when picking up the car afterwards. Thoroughly recommend them. |

This is how insurance companies work.
If not, something is wrong.

Agreed re Shannons. I have a couple of cars insured through them. One was rear-ended at traffic lights, got a quote, the Shannons assessor found 2 other faults when HE added to the work to be done. Got to pick my own panel beated (Battisti in Melb - not cheap, but great quality). Fantastic. Sure, I could save some money with a cheaper insurance, but doubt I would have been as satisfied as I was.
