It's usually cheap for a reason,I have read through the fine print of many cheap insurance companys,I didnt like what I read.

Have you read through there terms and conditions?

Why are people so concerned about premium then benifits?

It's like saying you saved money buying an XT instead of a Ghia!!

I have a 2002 Fairmont V8.my current insurer AAMI it is $504 a year Supercheap $408.
I prefer to stay with a known company, maybe when Supercheap insurance has been around for a few years and quality is know, might change.

I pay just over $700 a year for my XR6T; i'm 24 in Perth, WA. The insurance might be cheap but what about the excess, benefits etc. I'm with WQBE and my excess is only $300 (as im under 25 otherwise it would be $200) and i get unlimited wind screen replacements, new for new vehicle replacement if the car is written off, a tow truck if i am in an accident and heaps more.

The other point brought up is about service. Find somewhere and stick with them; loyalty is rewarded (yes Insurance companies can be nice sometimes). WQBE now bend over backwards to keep me and beat anyone if i give them a quote and thats only after 5 years of membership

LOL

And when they have a claim they will be back up on the forums advising everyone how they got ripped off after a claim without telling people the facts that they were a cheap *** in the first place.

Go on!!! Gamble your second highest purchase in your lifetime on a cheap premium :

I have my EL with RACQ - when I bought it I was 22 and paying $1200 a year. Now I'm 25 and paying around $760 a year And I have had an at-fault prang (minor) in another car when I was younger, and yes I made a claim (not with RACQ at the time). But RACQ still insured me and the claim only made like $50 a year difference to my premium.

I reckon I have a good deal.

So this supercheap insurance is the same company that owns supercheap auto?

If so, no thanks

They are selling insurance for budget direct, almost like an agent,if and when you made a claim you would be dealing with budget direct, not supercheap.

I'll stick with my Comp Insurance, Pretty hard to beat the pirce I get.
2007 Territory TX rwd agreed value $42570 for 12 months with a hire car option I only pay $285. Of course i get a 50% staff discount.
But even paying full price without the rental car with this mob if more than $250 extra with less benifits.

had a very minor accident and was insured with budget direct (supercheaps insurer) it was a major nightmare, I agree 100% its not worth going for cheap insurance you will regret it if you need to make a claim.

It is entirely possible their guidelines may have changed or the operator that insured them was not paying attention to what they were doing.

just wait till you get hit by a $1000 dollar excess and your premium goes up by $500. All good IF you don't have a prang.

i will not be getting my insurance through Budget Direct
or deal with them ever again period.

Years ago when i was young and when Budget Direct just started
they use to be call something else.
I insure with them cos they are cheap as chips.

When i have a minor accident and they knock back my claim
becos they don't insure vehicles that is for business use only
I have been paying them for the 2 yrs and it says
business use on the policy that they sent me!!!

In the end the money just comes out of my own pocket,
which i am not happy about it and i move on.

You get what you pay for.
