I don't see the value. But each to their own. Obviously someone wants to pay that sort of cash for a car that you would be too scared to drive incase the crooks come looking for it. I wonder what the premiums are worth on a car like that.

The Herald Sun don't know what they are talking about. The story to me seems more about daily drivers then a Phase 3. |

I am working for a guy at the moment who knows a guy who either bought this car or another at a similar price, apparently he's keeping it in a garage wrapped in airtight bubble wrap with a vacuum connected to keep out air and temp settings for the room!
Probably a good investment if you can afford it and price keeps rising, but I'de rather drive the thing |

Australias first million dollar muscle car comming up very soon. I have heard a rumor that a phase 3 GTHO went to America, from Melbourne, recently for $730K.

I have a theory about these high prices.
Person A owes Person B alot of $$$$'s so instead of paying Person B in cash (and Person B having to declare alot of taxable income). Person B buys something rare with a value that the "market determines" - something like a Phase III GTHO for $100K, then Person A buys the Phase III from Person B for $200K. It is only a theory... |

Jeez, at this rate we'll see more phase 3's than were actually built in the first place! There are a lot of unscrupulous people out there! Buyer beware!!!!!!!! There are more re-shelled cars out there than people would have you believe!!!!!

i have a suspision that some people have got together and brought this vehicle at a inflated price so there other investments (other ho's) also maintain a massive price you could see a few more go up 4 sale very soon ?????????????????????????????????

Loungeroom OH MY GOD. His Mrs should be sleeping there and that car should be next to him in the bedroom. For that actual car i have Prefix # Serial # SIDO # MODEL # Engine code, Transmission code, Paint code, Trim code, Build Options and Dealer Code. Am i obsessed with this car ? No, what makes you think that. !!! The 428 Cobra Jet Ram Air option was given a 'R' code on vin plates. but as this was a one-off, off the line unique special order, its Aussie compliance plates didnt get any stamps while in Dearborn, however its Ford Australia factory codes show it was ordered with a specific purpose in mind. Need i say anymore !!!!!!!

On the subject of special orders, any one ever recall seeing in Unique cars the "special" gt ordered for a country doctor, with delete stripes and badging, or was it just BS? would have been advertised about 12 years ago?
