I'm a bass player.. Buut.
My rig (poor photo): It's a Trace Elliot V8, one of about 74 made, vvverrry rare and $$. It's a 400w all valve amp (2 and 4 ohms) running 8xKT88's and 7 12ax7's (NOS Telefunkens and GE's) plus a driver tube running into a Bergantino NV610 cab (750w @ 4ohms). The Bergie is a boutique cab made in the States which has a similar vibe to vintage Ampeg fridges (8x10's), yet better sound across the whole range and a slightly more 'new school' edge (Hence the name NewVintage). Recently changed from a Schroeder 410 cab (1200w @ 4ohms), which is another boutique cab with a unique design (side firing speakers into a baffle). Bass is an EBMM Sterling with Nordstrand MM.3 pup which i'll post a pic of later. Been playing for a while now and pretty much influenced by anything at all that's musical. Top bands that got me into and influenced me musically would be RHCP, RATM, Sublime, Millencolin, Primus, Sly and the Family Stone, P funk etc, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, COG, Karnivool, Hendrix etc (brief list).. My bands MP3's are here www.myspace.com/crookedseeds if anyone is interested as well.. Anything else? heh. Music is my main thing in life, so I spend a lot of time (and money) around it.. My rig alone is worth 4 or so times more than my car! haha. |

It's not actually a flying V.
From left, is a Randy Rhodes V copy ($95 eBay), Ibanez, Yamaha, and BC Rich Ironbird.

ive been playing for 11 years now or something....
started doing classical, then switched over to electric (metal and jazz). and been playing that for about 6 years or so. got a Gibson SG (last 3 digits of the serial number are 666 which is awesome), and Epiphone Les Paul, Peavy Raptor, Admira acoustic and some 3/4 size acoustic. Marshall Valvestate 50 amp and a peavy rage 158 plus a heap of other crap. couple of vids of me playing some metal. Megadeth, Death and Lamb of God lol. they are ok i guess. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tM9eHILNXw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLnw-c_jCy8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GgoCWnXHB88

been playing guitar on and off for almost 20 years. bass guitar as well. used to play metal, now i concentrate on classical spanish guitar from the XVI century. i have had a few acoustic guitars over the years and a nice Yamaha bass guitar and a little Marshall BassState that had a beautiful sound for a digital bass amp. now i only have a Yamaha CG101-MS acoustic (nylon strings)

I started playing guitar when I was 5 or 6, it only gets picked up every so often though. I used to play in a band and did a couple of my own recorded albums with both written and cover songs with vocals...want to get back into it but hard to find time at the moment. I used to play 3-5 hours per day when younger...now thats a month!
