Default AU2 cruise control

Hey everyone, I've done a search but can't find what I'm after...has anybody fitted cruise control to a AU2 i6 manual ? I've fitted cruise to XF, EB and BA but somehow escaped AU series. Anything unusual to look out for and what components do I need to purchase?....cheers Linz

I would assume that FORD would sell a complete CC Kit with the all important instructions
Try the local FORD spare parts dept.

Hi Try these guys.
http://www.aussiecarrecyclers.com/
located at Slack Creek???
Bought one about 2 months ago for a mate, Excellent service, Complete unit (though for an auto wagon) May be the same as Manual apart from a Clutch pedal switch????
Cost $220.00???? (I think from memory)
Fitted easily, did not need any other parts.
Regards
Greg

Thanks for the replies, I should have mentioned that I'd be buying it from the wreckers...(gregtomfred, I've bought a few things from Aussie recyclers before, they're good to deal with)...does anyone know if there's a difference in cruise computer for auto or manual like some other cars (apart from clutch switch)? cheers Linz.

There is no difference in the cruise units between the auto and manual. From memory the only difference in setup is a loop in the auto wiring for where the clucth switch would be.

Cheers

Matt
