Default Parking sign question.

I know there are a few police on here, so i'll ask away.

I parked on a street that I have started using recently. Where I usually park there are many poles for power, no stopping / standing etc etc.

Up the street, and past a side street there is a 3hr parking sign, with arrows in both directions. It is probably 80 metres from where I park, and also after a side street.

My question is, there is, as far as I can see, no sign to "cancel" the double arrows further down the rd. Even though there are several posts available.

How far does a 3hr parking sign remain in force? does a side street then cancel the sign (thus no signs where I park) or should I be looking fwd to a ticket if I continue to park my car there for a day?

Hope my question makes sense. If it doesn't ill make a picture upon request.

Cheers

Were there yellow lines painted on the side of the road? Those can be killers - especially when other cars are parked over them so you can't see them.
