A very small car, thats about as safe and it is easy to park.
The guy is better off just dropping in a 1.8-2.0 turbo something. |

I'd love to see the result. When I was in my teens I had wild ideas about putting a V8 engine in the rear of a Mini panelvan to drive the rear wheels!

I believe there was a mighty boy project many many moons ago, had V8 in the back making it RWD - burnout hack I think.

when I did my cabinet making apprenticeship our polisher had a Mightyboy with a twin turbo Lotus engine in it- it was never licensed but it was stolen and in a high speed chase but the cops just couldn't catch it LOL

Would be difficult I suspect the I6 is almost as long as the whole car. I've seen a few weird ones though, an old Capri with a 351, (had to remove the front wheels and drill holes in the inner guards to change the plugs) and a crazy mate of mine who put a blown 460 into a VW Kombi, sat right in the middle of the floor behind the front seat, like driving inside the largest noisiest vacuum cleaner you could imagine

I was going to get a m ighty boy to drive my music gear around so I didnt ruin the interior of my car. That is until I realised I wouldnt fit my Bass guitars anywhere, as the tray was wayyyy to short.

There was an econovan type van that past me on the way out to the drags last time. Didnt think much of it till it rocked up out at willowbank. Stripped the interior, dropped the pipes, set of slicks and the thing pulled up the front wheels, dropped them down off the throttle and still ran a 13. And the sound was awesome. It was V8.

A TAFE up where I used to live sucessfully rear mounted a Lexus V8 into a Mighty Boy. Was a quick little thing, they used to race it at the Leyburn sprints and Pittsworth as well.
Sounded awesome and handled pretty well too!

Laugh at me or tell me Im dreaming, but while we are on the subject of conversions. what about the XR6T engine into an R32 GTS-t? They are both straight six, but if it worked, an XR6T engine with $5000 thrown at it = 300rwkw, and the Rb20 is not THAT easy to mod. $5000 on engine, $5000 FOR engine (Max) $10000 install, $10000 shell = $30000. And remember, the line is only like 1200kg stock, so maybe 1300 with the bigger motor. And the TORQUE, thats something you dont get with the RB20. So is it possible?
