Just wanting to know how easy it is to do the back brakes on a AU?
Also whats the best way of taking the rear springs out? And Torqu of the bolts for when I put it back together again? cheers Daniel |

When you say how easy do you mean you have never changed pads before,if that is the case it would be safer to pay a workshop 100 bucks to do it for you pads included.Same goes for the springs and it depends if you have irs or not.

Brakes are easy, but I am a mechanic!
The springs, if live axle, are also easy. Remove the shockies, and lift the chassis. the springs will fall out. Not sure about tension of bolts. Cheers, Mike

Done the front ones before but not the Rear on a AU ,I'v done the rear on a e-series whats the differance? The AU is IRS..

If you've done brakes before on any veichle with success you will be fine with the AU OMO, unless the bolts are seized lol, ( I had this problem today)

rears on an au are same as fronts, not like early e series where you had to twist the handbrake bit in...just put the clamp or whatever in and reset the piston
