With the water restrictions does anyone know of a place in Sydney you can take your car to and use your own shampoo/clothes/buckets?
All I want is a place where I can use the hose and the ground the car sits on while i'm doing it. Cheers

I'm sure all of them allow you to use your own clothes.
Cloths on the other hand might be frowned upon.

just go to the car wash a bit later when its quiter and there is no attendant thats what i do i hand wash my car all the time those brushes ate filthy and they scratch your car

None of them that I'm aware of but you can usually get away with it late at night when there isn't many people around but I just use a Karcher pressure cleaner connected to a bucket at home or if I'm really lazy & the car isn't that dirty use a one of the rinseless washes you can get from forum sponsor www.waxit.com.au.

I think that I'll just have to take our cars to my wife's work and wash them there. They are on a water allocation, so aren't affected by water restrictions.
I refuse to pay for a car wash when I could do it at home myself basically for free. Not to mention the fact that as we live in a country town, there isn't any car washes near by.

We go at the quiet times early morning/later at night and use the bucket and cloth, its also good cos when you drive out of the bay to chamois the car you get hardly any overspray from the other bays cos there is no-one there.
